One of the most common questions we get about offsetting audio is ‘How can I start my soundtrack on slide 2?’ For a variety of reasons, delaying the beginning of your slideshow’s audio to play until slide 2 (or 3 or 4 for that matter) can come in useful. Maybe you have an intro sequence that doesn’t require audio or you’d like a slight delay in your show until the music starts.
Whatever the reason, ProShow Gold and ProShow Producer allow you to offset your audio track so you can set a delay before it starts playing. It’s an easy process that can be done in just a few steps. Here’s how it works!
- With your show loaded, switch to Timeline view in the Slide List that runs along the bottom of your show.
- In this view, you’ll see a larger version of your audio track.
- Click the CONTROL key on your keyboard and using your mouse, click and drag your soundtrack to the right to the exact location you’d like it to start.
- That’s it! You’ve created an audio offset. Watch the video below for a more detailed walk through and other ways you can create offsets in your show.
