FAQ: How to Start Your Slideshow’s Soundtrack on Slide 2

One of the most common questions we get about offsetting audio is ‘How can I start my soundtrack on slide 2?’ For a variety of reasons, delaying the beginning of your slideshow’s audio to play until slide 2 (or 3 or 4 for that matter) can come in useful. Maybe you have an intro sequence that doesn’t require audio or you’d like a slight delay in your show until the music starts.

Whatever the reason, ProShow Gold and ProShow Producer allow you to offset your audio track so you can set a delay before it starts playing. It’s an easy process that can be done in just a few steps. Here’s how it works!

  1. With your show loaded, switch to Timeline view in the Slide List that runs along the bottom of your show.
  2. In this view, you’ll see a larger version of your audio track.
  3. Click the CONTROL key on your keyboard and using your mouse, click and drag your soundtrack to the right to the exact location you’d like it to start.
  4. That’s it! You’ve created an audio offset. Watch the video below for a more detailed walk through and other ways you can create offsets in your show.
