Each Friday we share the top 5 most buzzed about topics and questions about making video slideshows with ProShow. These come directly from ProShow users just like you and are collected by our customer service team each week! Read the round-up below to see what people are curious about this week.

  1. How do I remove the intro show from my DVD?
In the Create DVD window, click on the Shows tab and uncheck the Include intro show checkbox to remove this option from your output. For more information on intro shows, click here.
  2. I can’t open my show, how do I load a backup?
In ProShow, go to File > Open and browse to the folder containing your show file. In the Open show file window, change the file type from ‘ ProShow Files’ to ‘All Files’ near the bottom of this window so all files are visible in this folder. Locate your show file with the *.bak file extension (i.e. showname.bak) and open this file by clicking Open on the bottom right. For more information on loading backup files in ProShow, click here.
  3. How do I upload an unlisted video to YouTube in ProShow 6?
In ProShow, click on Publish > YouTube and change your Privacy setting from Public to Unlisted. An unlisted video is a public video that is only available through a direct URL on YouTube. Viewers cannot search for this video which makes it a great solution for clients or close family members that may not want the entire world to have access to the show you’ve created.youtube_unlisted
  4. How do I adjust the size of my thumbnails shown in the file list?
In ProShow, right-click inside the File List and go to View > Thumbnail size to increase or decrease the size of your thumbnails.
  5. What keyboard shortcut do I use to jump to a specific slide in my show?
To jump to a specific slide in your show, use the CTRL+G keyboard shortcut. Insert the slide number and hit Enter. For more information on keyboard shortcuts in ProShow, click on the following links: Gold or Producer.proshow_jumptoslide
