Show of the Week: Dance Digitals

We’re excited to be spotlighting photographer René Michaels on the blog today. René is an Austin-based photographer who specializes in dance, sports, fashion and seniors. His action-packed shots are emphasized even more in the dynamic slideshows he creates. Watch his show below and learn how he uses ProShow Producer in his business.

One of my services is to provide dance studios with professional dance action photography for their live shows and year-end recitals. My profit comes from selling photos of the participating dancers to parents.

We setup a display table in the lobby of the venue where the show is being performed with some sample photos from previous shows and a couple of standup banners that show off our work. There are other vendors vying for attention in the lobby area, so this year I wanted to try and draw more attention to our table so I used Photodex’s ProShow Producer 5 to create a fast-moving high-quality slideshow of photos we took the year before.

I connected a computer to a 42″ flatscreen TV via HDMI cable and we were in business. The slideshow was a hit and definitely drew more people to our table. I’m getting ready to produce another slideshow with the same goal, but this time for a football tournament. The image my business portrays (as a brand) is very important to me, and ProShow Producer 5 gives me the ability to quickly create high-quality slideshows that leave a professional impression on my customers which elevates my brand!
